Remodel | Respect
Some homes are charming at the start, and just need a bit of updating or a more efficient layout. A new master suite, a room addition for the kids, or perhaps a new living area and kitchen, all the while respecting and enhancing the character that is so loved in the original. Following the lead of a good design is just as interesting and sometimes more challenging than striking out anew. The rewards are worth it.
DRAG ARROWS TO SHOW BEFORE AND AFTER
Back of house
Before: The room at the lower right is a rotting sunken sunroom; After: The central portion of the addition is the second floor master suite with the bath over a relocated kitchen. Below the master is a covered patio.
Before: Odd proportions in the existing living room are not enhanced by the paint scheme; After: The re-proportioned windows are fitted with custom stained glass panels, the kitchen is relocated to a more convenient and spacious corner and the living room is given much needed character.
