Remodel | Restyle
Sometimes what is needed is not more square footage, but a more personal style. These homes have a new personality that suits their occupants much better than their previous incarnations, without substantially changing the original footprint. The before and after's can be amazing.
DRAG ARROWS TO SHOW BEFORE AND AFTER
Exterior
Before: This 1940's era fisherman's cottage had been renovated and added to by previous occupants, mostly with mixed success. Years of 'fishing instead of fixing' had left it shabby. After: This remodel changed everything except the footprint. a total of 20 square feet was added to the home, due to the need for a rebuilt foundation wall on the lake side.
Southwest Corner
Before: Enclosed porches do not take advantage of the lake views; After: The composite decking used at the house was salvaged from an event pavilion for the 2011 Super Bowl in Dallas.
